Minister within The Ministry of Public Works, Hon. Deodat Indar, visited G-Port today to examine the facility and discuss opportunities for further development. G-Port is a 50/50 partnership between longstanding Guyanese company John Fernandes Ltd. and internationally recognized Edison Chouest Offshore from Louisiana.

The facility is one of only two available locally that provides extensive oil & gas shorebase services and houses mud plant facilities of Baker Hughes and Haliburton. The G-Port work force is made up almost entirely of Guyanese nationals.
